I feel a need
I see my saviours & strangers in me
I see the future and the deep blue sea
Swirling around me, beyond my believe
I dream
Of release
All the tension building up in me
Let it a float away ‘till it’s out of reach
Wash it off of me I need fantasy
I can breathe in the deep blue sea
It could be
That every little piece I lost of me
Down in the deepest weeds
Grew the tallest trees
My reflection lookin back believes
I have everything I need
Anna Lunoe’s latest single ‘Deep Blue Sea’ gets a makeover from Iraqi-Australian producer Motez.
Picking up the pace, Motez transforms ‘Deep Blue Sea’ into a sweet and speedy, melodic-techno confection. The four to the floor rhythm is adorned with bit crushed textures and shimmering arpeggiated synths, with textured garage percussion weaving through the production. Motez lets the track ebb and flow, holding space for Anna’s emotive spoken word.
Motez shares, “I love the original so much especially its sense of euphoria and hope, so I wanted to hone in on those elements and turn up the emotional aspects (as well as the BPM) of the original up a notch.”
